Distinguished and Famous people from Crescent Head
🌟 Jo Watts
Jo Watts received a Lifetime Achievement Award in Kempsey Shire’s 2023 Australia Day honours for her contribution to Crescent Head. By then, her Rural Fire Service involvement extended over more than twenty-five years, including service as senior deputy captain. Her work included following up with people affected by fire, floods and road accidents as well as responding to emergencies. Involvement in organisations including the Lions and fishing clubs added other community connections. Her local reputation rests on years of turning up when help was needed.
